Greetings from the Principal of College of Education Morigaon!
The primary goal of inclusive education is the holistic development of the individuals. Education seeks to impart information, humanity, culture, and wisdom; yet, it must be remembered that character is developed rather than given, and knowledge must be gained. The objective of government's education policy is to raise the educational bar for Indian students to meet international standards. The global knowledge power house and the shift in the academic structure characterize this picture of Indian ethos. The New Education Policy, 2020 also delineates the visualization of India’s new education system.

Since its founding in 1994, the College of Education Morigaon has made a solemn contribution to the national building effort. As a premier institution of higher education, the College has successfully been providing education to the teacher-trainees showing better achievements in the examination. The College is situated in the North-West part of Morigaon Town with a sound educational environment. The College is linked by roads with Guwahati which takes only 1 hour 30 minutes by road. It is to be mentioned here that Govt. of Assam accorded permission and NOC to the College. The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) accorded recognition to the College. The College is affiliated to Gauhati University, Assam. The Govt. of Assam has accorded concurrence to the College. NCTE has approved 100 intake capacity each for B.Ed. and the D.El.Ed courses for the College. At present, the College is successfully running two courses e.g. B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. with its capacity. Moreover, the College has introduced Four Year Under Graduate Program (FYUGP) as per NEP 2020 from the year 2024 with the permission of Gauhati University.

In addition to emphasizing the theoretical curriculum, the College of Education Morigaon supports students' personal growth. Our institute's goal and mission are aligned with our highly skilled faculty, extensive library, placement cell, teaching methodologies and philosophy of holistic growth.

College of Education is, in my opinion, much more than a place for education. Every student's unique growth is something we are concerned about. By giving the students tools they need to succeed, our institute offers them the chance to develop. We think that education is a powerful tool for transforming society. We are willing to exert all of our efforts to assist our students in realizing their dreams.
